Te Kuti-o-te-rangi

This karakia has been developed for Te Ao Kuti Hipi and leans on the term kuti. Kuti can mean to cut or shear but it also means to draw together, combine or nip together.

 

Therefore, Te-Kuti-o-te-rangi is a term coined to draw on the comradery that is present in the sheds and the whānau that become a shearing gang
